Crafting Timeless Treasures

For me, art has always been about bringing something new into existence. Long before I considered myself an artist my creative drive manifested in the development of software and architecture, designed to streamline and improve work processes. As an engineer for over three decades, I was essentially a creator of functional art, building solutions that served a purpose.

The transition to tangible artistic expression was a natural evolution. I simply shifted my focus, channelling my creative energy into crafting objects that I found both beautiful and personally fulfilling, with the hope that others would share my appreciation. This experience was transformative. The satisfaction of creating something from raw materials and having a stranger value it enough to purchase it was a profound and addictive experience.

Setting aside the predictability of engineering, I embraced the exhilaration of artistic creation. My profession, while important, could not replicate the deep satisfaction of seeing my handcrafted pieces find a home. Art, in essence, became a new form of work, a continuation of my lifelong pursuit of creation, but one that resonated on a deeply personal and emotional level; it's work that feeds the soul and that is a reward beyond measure. Each piece, whether a meticulously crafted box or a new design for a t-shirt, represents a tangible manifestation of this passion, a testament to the transformative power of creative expression.
